Everyday, we will bring to you a related set of 3 actionable tips, ideas & advice (mostly from Twitter)! These are meant to expand your thinking, knowledge & empower you to be the best version of yourself. The links (people, tools & processes) are also meant to add value :)
Note - We do not include all tweets in a thread sometimes to avoid hitting email limits & readability. You can always access the whole thread by clicking on the 1st tweet. We append (….) in such cases.
Today's theme is: A Bed of Thorns
After looking at certain uncomfortable "ideas" yesterday, today we will look at certain uncomfortable "actions".
Actions that are necessary and perhaps sometimes evil. But being in bed with these thorns is often the rite of passage to a better version of us : 👉🏻
First it's important to be clear in WHAT ways comfort can be bad for us. And our actions should reflect these reasons in their "spirit".
Thread is inspired by a tweet from @WritingToRichesTimeless truth: Too much comfort leads to an unsatisfying life.Writing To Riches @WritingToRichesYes! Exercise is hard, fast food feels good, and learning a new skill unlike watching Netflix takes effort. You love your comfort zone. You do anything to expand it. It makes you feel safe, secure, and well… cozy! But, have you ever thought that too much comfort is actually harmful to your long-term health and happiness?(….)
Second we have something different - a YouTube Playlist!
Tim Ferris (author Tribe of Mentors, Tools of Titans) is arguably the best known personality in this space. This playlist has handpicked actionable challenges that most people would benefit from - as most people avoid common weaknesses.
Read the tweet. Does it make you a bit uncomfortable? Even angry?
Pause and think about it - Is he wrong? How much? Maybe the nuances differ but do you not agree with the point? IM is one of the most uncomfortable accounts to follow on Twitter. You have been ̶e̶̶̶n̶̶̶c̶̶̶o̶̶̶u̶̶̶r̶̶̶a̶̶̶g̶̶̶e̶̶̶d̶̶̶ warned. 😉
We hope this shakes you a bit.. especially when you decide to take some small action towards one amongst these :)
Cheers and see you soon 💫
